Vs.
[yes, I realize that this blog is in danger of just becoming an all-Tugggets-all-the-time type affair. So be it.]
As anybody who's ever talked to me when I'm hammered for more than five seconds knows, I find Cheeseburger to be not only The Best Band in Brooklyn, but probably also the Greatest Band in the History of the Universe. As such, you can imagine I'm pretty fucking excited about Saturday night's Cheeseburger show at Bell House in Gowanus (info here). Seriously, come on out Saturday night and get rip-roaring drunk while screaming along with the 'burger's timeless trashy anthems because that shit's fun.
Cheeseburger's recorded output, of course, is pretty small, limited to their 2007 album and a couple earlier EPs. As such, predictably, my stockpile of rare(ish) Cheeseburger tracks is pretty limited, too, consisting of only 3 tracks (hence this being "Tugggets 4-1/2" instead of "Tugggets 5.") Ok, enough of my bullshitz, enjoy these tracks.

--this one was from the Vice/Colt 45 sampler that was released (I think) some time in the summer of '08 and accompanied Cheeseburger's Vice/Colt 45-sponsored cross-country trek. Here's a video from their stop at Glasslands from that tour.
47.) Cheeseburger - Saturday Nite
--second track from the Vice/Colt 45 sampler. In an incredible cosmic coincidence, the name of this song is MAGICALLY the SAME as the day of their Bell House show. HOW THE HELL DID THEY DO THAT?!?!
48.) Cheeseburger - Elected [Alice Cooper cover]
--the band made this one available before the '08 presidential election. Good cover, and 'burger aficionados will appreciate the return of Z-105's irrepressible Zach Richards in the DJ's chair.

Ok, that's it for now kiddos. If you're interested in checking out previous Tugggets installments, volume 1 is here, volume 2 is here, volume 3 hasn't been published yet, and volume 4 is here. See ya Saturday night.
